On 14 March 2025, the 6th workshop of the cooperation between the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Psychology at TU Dortmund University and the Faculty and Graduate School of Education at Kyoto University (Japan) took place. The theme of this year's workshop was: ‘Sustainability in the Light of (Human) Nature: Paths towards World Citizenship Education’.

A total of four lectures were held:

Yuzo Hirose spoke on "Sustainability for the World? Reconsidering Education for Sustainable Development through the Geographical Idea of Satoyama".

Joonha Park gave a lecture on “Cultural Dynamics of Pro-Social and Pro-Environmental Behaviours in East Asia: Barriers and Opportunities for World Citizenship”.

Moe Takeda's lecture was entitled "The Idea of Nature in Hume's Treatise: Considering Sustainability from the Conceptual History of Nature".

And Koichiro Misawa's lecture was about "Initiation, Transformation and Actualisation: Sophisticated Aristotelians vs. German Analytic Philosophers on Human Nature".

Both faculties are currently working together on the concept of "World Citizenship Education". The workshop made a valuable contribution to this objective.
